Halsey saw big for her very first show in France, and she was right to. The Cigale sold out very fast for the last concert of the European leg of her tour, and fans enthusiastically let her take us on a journey into her Badlands.
After having to cancel their Paris gig in November 2015 because of the terrorist attacks, Walk The Moon finally came back to France on Sunday. Even before the start of the show, some fans went though the queue offering to put some colourful makeup on people to match the band’s aesthetic. This alone shows the true aim of the band. “You came here strangers, but strangers you are no longer. These people around you are now your family, brothers, sisters and everything in between” said singer Nicholas Petricca between two songs. Continue reading “Walk The Moon – Le Trabendo – 28/02/16”
Jeremy Loops takes his stage name from the fact that he uses a loop pedal to create effects and loops, which he uses in almost all of his songs. Less than two weeks after he opened for Hozier in Paris, Rhodes crosses the Channel again, this time for his solo tour. His first album Wishes was released in September 2015, and his moving songs make it a stunning LP. I first heard him in June 2015, when he was touring with George Ezra and stopped by the Olympia for a night, and so I couldn’t wait to see his headline show.
The first time I saw Hozier, he was playing on the Pression Live stage at Rock en Seine, in August 2014. It was even before his first album was released, and the crowd kept asking him to play his single Take Me To Church. Many left after they got what they wanted.
